Velocity Global provides EOR and contractor management services worldwide. It also helps businesses that want to expand their markets register entities around the globe. The Velocity Global platform is simple to use, comprehensive, and extensive in its integration with other human resources (HR) applications. Rather than posting its prices online, Velocity Global offers quotes for tailored services. These services are priced out based on your employees’ salaries and the additional services you need rather than flat rates per employee.

1. EOR

Velocity Global acts an EOR in over 185 countries. It’s able to help companies that don’t have entities abroad hire in multiple countries even without registering in them. As mentioned, Velocity Global owns dozens of subsidiary companies internationally and works with third-party partners in many others to create an extensive global network. These businesses can hire employees on your behalf, becoming their sole legal employers and taking on legal responsibilities for them. Velocity Global also lets you outsource most of the HR functions related to your international team. While you manage each team member’s daily schedule and tasks, they handle thei payroll, contract management, leave schedules and benefits. In case you need to terminate employees, Velocity Global handles the legal side of terminating contracts as well as providing notice periods and severance pay if and when required.

Aside from the full-time employees you want to hire in other countries with the help of this EOR, Velocity Global also helps you manage independent contractors. The manage the contracts you have with them and can include contractor payments on your regular invoices. This provideralso monitors your relationships with contractors closely to ensure that you don’t misclassify employees as contractors and, therefore, risk big fines or damage to your company’s reputation. 

VG also manages constant compliance for all of your full-time employees. It works with local labor law experts to ensure that the contractual terms you agree on are fully legal. Because it also handles payroll, VG can monitor the hours your employees work and indicate when there could be a compliance issue. It calculates and makes payments to the local tax and social security bodies in each country where your employees work and that, too, ensures that these payments are on time and correctly computed. 

Unlike many other EORs, Velocity Global offers international recruitment services as part of its EOR program. You can let it know how many employees you need to find, the descriptions of the jobs you need to fill, and the skills and certifications you require. VG will put forward candidates for your positions from its talent banks around the world. The platform will also estimate the costs of hiring these employees based on your selected salary, other benefits and contributions, and VG’s fees. If you accept, it will generate contracts and sign them with the employees. It will then collect their information and documents for all compliance needs and keep you appraised of the onboarding process.  You can also choose to offer additional benefits packages, such as international pension plans and equity incentive plans that VG will also manage on your behalf.

2. Payroll

You can hire Velocity Global to perform multi-country payroll for you if you already own your own entities. If not, you get this service as part of VG’s overall EOR service. This platform can integrate with many popular human resources information systems (HRISs) to make the transfer of worked hours data seamless. This data is then used to calculate your employees’ gross salaries. Bonuses and other additions are taken into account as are mandatory benefits deductions and the withholding of personal income tax to arrive at your employees’ net salaries. VG disperses these to the employees and pays taxes and social security contributions as mandated by law. It provides you with payroll records and gives employees detailed payslips for their records.

In almost all countries, it’s mandatory for employee wages to be paid in the local currency. For that reason, Velocity Global pays your employees in over 100 currencies worldwide. You can consolidate all of your employee and contractor payments into a single invoice and pay through wire transfers, automated clearing house (ACH) payments, or by credit card for each pay period.

3. Platform

Like most EORs today, Velocity Global bases its services on a SaaS (software as a service) online platform. Through the system, employees can keep track of their pay, payslips, and benefits, such as leave. When companies open their accounts, they can see their employee data, including who’s already working and who’s being onboarded. They can view their contracts with independent contractors and examine the payments they need to make to them and for their employee payroll. 

Integration is a key factor for the VG platform. It has a customizable API that allows integration with most HR software packages and already features built-in integration with some popular applications, such as BambooHR and Greenhouse applicant tracking software.

Velocity Global is committed to data protection, as shown by its certifications. Its platform is ISO 27001 and SOC2 certified for data security and privacy. It’s also compliant with the GDPR in the EU and Canada’s PIPEDA information protection regulation.

4. Compliance

Not only does the platform itself comply with international data protection standards, Velocity Global also manages constant compliance with the tax and employment laws in all of the countries in which it works. Through its subsidiaries and partners, VG works with legal experts to ensure that local laws are reflected in the contracts it generates for its clients. It also constantly monitors for new legislation and adapts accordingly so that your workers are always treated equitably in the eyes of the law.

Many other EORs don’t offer recruitment services, but this is where Velocity Global’s services begin. It can help you find employees across the globe through its talent pools and recruit them quickly. It creates contracts for your employees and hires them when you agree. Onboarding can be performed quickly, often within 48 hours, if an employee’s documents are in order. VG then manages payroll, benefits administration, and leave management for your employees over the long term.
