This company is based around its hiring platform which allows client companies to manage their remote teams easily. Remofirst focuses on small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and is geared toward companies that use lots of remote employees, especially IT, marketing, and consulting firms.
Through its comprehensive platform, this company provides employer of record (EOR), global payroll, and contractor management services. Additionally, it works with partners to allow its clients to provide health insurance for their employees and offers visa and immigration assistance services. This company allows clients to hire employees in over 180 countries around the world and can onboard employees very quickly.

1. Remofirst EOR
As a global EOR company, Remofirst has the ability to hire employees in over 180 countries on behalf of its clients. Rather than requiring them to set up entities in these countries, which is a long process that can cost lots of money, Remofirst uses its own entities to hire the employees directly. If workers can be legally classified as contractors, this company can also help its clients manage contracts with them.
Remofirst doesn’t provide recruitment services. Instead, it lets its clients look for the international talent they wish to hire and put their names forward. It takes these candidates and calculates the costs of hiring them, including their salaries, benefits like leave and mandatory bonuses, taxes, social security contributions, and, of course, its own fees. This quote is produced and given to the client for review. If approved, Remofirst begins the process of hiring and onboarding them. While it advertises one-day onboarding, the hiring process can take longer but is still quick, taking just a week to get new employees on board with its clients’ companies.
While the client company handles the employees’ regular management like dictating their tasks, work schedules, meetings, and performance assessments, Remofirst manages their related administration needs like payroll, benefits administration, and contract management. It also ensures compliance with all local employment laws to avoid employee misclassifications and other errors that can result in costly fines.
2. Payroll
One of the main benefits of Remofirst is that it offers global payroll services for companies with employees scattered over the globe. All of these employees are entered into the Remofirst platform during onboarding. Their salaries and benefits are automatically calculated, as are any taxes and social security contributions that need to be deducted from their pay. This leaves Remofirst with net salaries to disperse to your employees and tax and social contributions (yours and the employees’) to pay. You also need to pay Remofirst’s fees.
To enable this, Remotefirst invoices you on the 15th of each month to collect the funds to make these payments. You can set your preferred currency for these payments to US Dollars (USD), Euros (EUR), British Pounds (GBP), Singapore Dollars (SGD), Canadian Dollars (CAD), or Australian Dollars (AUD). Remofirst normally converts these funds into your workers’ local currencies, as it’s typically mandatory for salaries and tax payments to be made in local currencies. The platform also gives you a lot of flexibility in your payments, so you can keep these payments separate or combine them into a single payment.
Similarly, Remofirst handles your regular payments for any independent contractors you work with, sending them their fees as per your contracts.
3. Platform
Remofirst’s services are built around its online platform, which adds a lot of automation to the EOR process. Employees are immediately entered into the system even when they’re still being onboarded. You’re able to see the employee’s status in your company dashboard, as well as a summary of the members you have working for you, their countries, and whether they’re full-time employees or contractors. By looking at each employee’s profile, you can see their personal details, position, job details, related documents, salary and extra cost to the employer, and leave schedule. This lets you keep track of your spending on all employees managed through this EOR. It’s straightforward, easy to navigate, and easily accessible.
Employees and contractors can also enter the system to view their own profiles and keep track of their own benefits. They can enter time off requests, which you can approve or decline, and the platform automatically tracks their leave allowances.
When you communicate with the platform, all data is encrypted for your security. Two-factor authentication (2FA) can add another level of safety for your peace of mind.
4. Compliance
Remofirst works with legal specialists to ensure that the contracts it produces are in full compliance with the labor laws where your employees are located. This includes approving the working conditions and compensation that you provide. When it does payroll, Remofirst calculates the tax withholdings and social security payments to be deducted from employees’ salaries and makes sure these are correct and paid on time.
5. HR
While Remofirst doesn’t offer recruitment services, it performs a lot of other crucial HR functions for you. It creates and manages contracts for both employees and contractors, ensuring they’re legal and complete. It then officially hires employees on your behalf and onboards them within a matter of days. Over the long term, Remofirst handles payroll, taxes, social security contributions, and benefits administration. It will also handle termination procedures if and when the time comes.
Outside of the automated process in the platform, each client is also assigned an account manager to help with any questions or customer needs. It also provides 24/7 live support for companies and employees working around the world.
